Mackie

Mackie

Robert Mackie originally opened in 1845 making traditional Scottish Glengarry and Balmoral headwear, “Bonnets”. Not only do Mackie continue to manufacture the traditional Scottish headwear (which they are globally known for), but over the years their range has grown, and they are now also recognised for the finest quality knitted hats, scarves and gloves.

Drawing on the rich textile heritage of Ayrshire, Mackie craft classics pieces, and have become famous for quality and use of vibrant colour. All of the Robert Mackie range is  “Made in Scotland”, completely manufactured in house, and they work only in natural yarns to produce renewable and sustainable products.

Rober Mackie is a Woolmark licensee, Sedex member and a close collaborator of the Ethical Trade Initiative, and are also members of UKFT and Textiles Scotland.
